Hello! Welcome to From Linux. Did you sick of the blue screen and viruses? So do not hesitate to migrate to Linux. If you just start, we recommend going through our section for beginners. If you're looking for a Linux distribution, we have guides to help you choose the best. We also have a list of programs to replace those you used in Windows. Remember to use the bar below to get additional help.
Video players convert2mp3 we've talked a lot here. Both super full VLC, as ExMPlayer convert2mp3 and others based on MPlayer. The point is that even though convert2mp3 I have installed VLC rarely use it, simply because I delay 2 or 3 seconds to open any video, so I use SMPlayer as default video player. Today I found a really good one and it opens very fast: MPV
Something that I have not found, that is, which apparently has a volume control, Thank God! : D. The idea of having a volume control on the player and another general then the laptop always confuses me, or turn up the volume one and then the other, having just one much easier my life, it's a great idea. Maybe I'm wrong and MPV does have a volume control, but bueh!, I think I'm happier without finding LOL!
It supports subtitle convert2mp3 obviously, however ... the only negative that I find so far is the lack of a menu of choices, all we have to do with keys, ie keys to remember: Q: Exits the program R and T : Change the vertical position convert2mp3 of the subtitle O: Displays the elapsed and remaining time Video P: Pause / Renaudar S: Take a screenshot F: Fullscreen M: Mute 1 and 2: Change the constrast (I think) 3 and 4: Change brightness 5 and 6: Gamma 7 and 8: ... change something, but I do not notice a difference and I do not recognize the icon: D 8 and 9: Same as above haha Anyway, feel free to explore all your keyboard ;)
They can also be configured using $ HOME / .mpv / config many things, such as adding shortcuts, set the maximum volume if you want 100% or 200% (to be heard even louder, etc.). Here is the help for the config file in the wiki mpv ArchLinux and support here github project.
Well ... that did not have any misunderstanding, let another screenshot where large ... uh ... big eyelashes Katty Perry Heh, this other screenshot convert2mp3 is a video that I thought convert2mp3 was pretty catchy and fun, the chick peep not appear.

I use mplayer without gui, is much more efficient and you end up getting used to use the keys to move back and forth (just barely do, just let the video run) also operate as full screen.

Too bad you can not find a player that more options for subtitles. By far the best I found on GNU / linux is SMPlayer. Best in Windows, for me, is PotPlayer. Unfortunately does not work on Wine.

It is not to subtitle lines usually skip when you start the video of an arbitrary point if you skipped the part where you got the subtitle starts to wait for the next line with this is not so: D

This is well known, but said if anyone does not know yet. You can achieve a similar arrangement with smplayer. That is starting window "peeled" video and show bar under mouse control only scoring two simple questions: 1) "compact mode" in the video menu; 2) settings >> interface >> floating control: also display in compact mode. As for the menu bar, I use them outside the application, more precisely in the title bar, and know if you can hide inside the window. Greetings -.
